The Cauldron

The Cauldron is a vessel used for cooking, it would sit on the fire and in it amazing meals would appear. A transformation always takes place in the cauldron, from the cooking of a meal to the mysterious production of transformation, sustenance or the fruits of the harvest, The Cauldron represent the womb of the Goddess.

Early cauldrons would have been made of clay, and later, metal. Most often they are made of iron, the belief being that iron repelled evil. However, the cauldron is always made of a material from the earth, transformed by fire.

Many Witches believe that Cauldrons should be made of iron, with three legs and an opening smaller then the cauldrons widest point. They can be difficult to find, but are available in a variety of sizes.

Cauldrons can also be used for scrying, alchemy, fire rituals, burning incense and many other uses, you are limited only by your imagination.
